Um método para auditoria de repositórios abertos com resultados da América Latina

In this article we present a method devised to audit the openness of repositories, with a particular focus on licensing practices. We also present a detailed panorama of OER repositories focused on basic education in Latin America. We thoroughly analyzed 50 repositories identifying mechanisms by which these sites communicated their terms of use to the end user. We randomly accessed five resources from each repository (for a total of 250 resources) to investigate the alignment of the terms of use between resources, metadata pages and overall site policies. We discuss the importance of cohesiveness in the clarity of communication to end users and its implication for the selection of software platforms.
